The business lesson: decide slower, act faster
Most stress at work comes from decisions made in a rush and then revisited again and again. Try the reverse. Give important decisions a set amount of quiet thinking time, write down why you chose what you chose, and then commit. You spend less energy second-guessing and more energy doing the work.
The mindset practice: the two-minute pause
Before your next hard conversation or big email, stop for two minutes. Breathe slowly. Ask yourself: “What would a calm version of me do here?” Then do that. Notice how it changes the outcome.
